From the Begining
The thing about using a suitcase for your bass drum
is that you can use it to carry your stuff when you are done. The logic seams flawless when applied to Indianapolis’ stripped down acoustic trio that employs nylon guitar, upright bass, melodica, and mandolin in addition to the infamous suitcase drum kit to produce Indianapolis’ premiere Jazzpop/Eurofolk experience. Tonos Triad strives to be a band that can incoportate itself into the visual and performing arts culture in Indianapolis and elsehwere. Though taking inspiration from such American innovators as John Zorn, Tom Waits, and Tin Hat Trio, Tonos Triad condenses its sound into listener friendly pop formats. “If you don’t like one of our songs, just wait a few minutes and we’ll play something completely different.” |
